- Installation Tips - The motor should be mounted as close to the centerline of the boat as possible. Ensure that the motor does not encounter any obstructions when being lowered into the water or raised into the boat during stowing and deployment. Make sure the motor rest is positioned far enough beyond the edge of the boat. Ensure that the area under the mounting location is flat and clear to drill holes and install nuts and washers. When installing the bracket, use some thread-locking adhesive on the screws to secure the bracket more effectively. Please refer to the instructions for more information
